Dormancy and seasonal appearance
This rose is deciduous and will lose its leaves in winter before producing fresh growth in spring.
Our roses are supplied planted in a 4L growers pot with compost and are not sold as bare root. The compost contains enough feed for around 4 months. Roses are dormant from November to March, so although they are sent in pots, they may not yet have rooted into the compost.
Will the colour stay lilac
The lilac tones are strongest in good light and can vary slightly with weather and soil, which is normal for this style of rose.
Will it flower in its first year
Yes, it should flower in its first year, with better repeat flushes as it establishes.
Does it need pruning
Yes. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain strong flowering stems.
Pair with soft whites, pale pinks, and airy grasses for a romantic palette, or add Salvia and Nepeta nearby for contrast and pollinator friendly planting.

Roses are dormant from November to March, so although they are sent in pots, they may not yet have rooted into the compost. When planting, the compost may fall away from the roots, this is completely normal and will not harm the plant.
If you prefer not to plant straight away, roses can be left in their pots until March, by which time they will have rooted. If kept in pots, water more frequently.
Roses are carefully pruned during the colder months to encourage strong, healthy growth in spring, so plants may arrive smaller than expected. New growth will appear in spring and plants will grow at least 50cm in their first year.

Amazing Service
How online retail should be done.
Genuinely the best service I’ve ever received from an online retailer. I ordered three of the ‘plant your own’ bay tree pot kits. They came really fast, and were packaged so well.
It’s all recyclable too!!

Thank you One Click
Received our plants in quick time, excellently packaged and in very good condition. These are large plants, not small, ready to make an impression in our garden. I can't say how pleased I am, with this and my former order, to see that the company are consistent with supplying plants of excellence.
