Perennials attractive to Pollinators

Pollinator attracting perennials are essential for creating a wildlife friendly garden buzzing with bees, butterflies and hoverflies. These plants provide rich nectar and pollen for months, supporting vital insects and bringing movement and life to your outdoor space.

Some of the best performers include Echinacea Magnus, Verbena bonariensis, Nepeta Six Hills Giant and Salvia Caradonna, all of which flower for long periods. Gaura Whirling Butterflies, Scabiosa Butterfly Blue, Sedum Autumn Joy and Rudbeckia Goldsturm are also much loved by pollinators. For early season support, Pulmonaria Trevi Fountain and Helleborus orientalis provide nectar when little else is in bloom.

These plants combine beautifully with ornamental grasses, geraniums, geum and phlox, creating a garden that looks good and supports wildlife from spring to autumn.
