Passionflower is an exotic looking climber that provides dramatic flowers from summer into early autumn. Its intricate blooms and evergreen foliage make it perfect for creating a standout feature in sheltered, sunny gardens.
The most common variety, Passiflora caerulea, produces striking blue and white flowers followed by orange fruits. Hardier than it looks, it can be grown on fences, pergolas and trellises.
Passionflower pairs beautifully with Clematis, roses, lavender and ornamental grasses, adding height and a touch of the exotic.
