Scabious Flutter Pure White is a delicate, long flowering perennial with soft white pincushion blooms that appear continuously from early summer into autumn. The airy flowers sit on slender stems above a compact mound of fresh green foliage, bringing gentle movement and a light, natural feel to borders. This variety is highly attractive to bees and butterflies, making it ideal for cottage gardens, wildlife friendly planting and relaxed mixed borders. Flutter Pure White provides a long season of colour and blends beautifully with pastels, blues and grasses.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
