This architectural perennial is grown for its distinctive bright orange lantern-like seed pods that appear in late summer and autumn. The papery lanterns are long lasting and highly decorative, making this plant a favourite for borders and dried flower arrangements. It spreads steadily to form bold clumps, adding strong seasonal interest.

This perennial is herbaceous, it dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring. The lanterns develop after flowering. Please plant as normal.
