Hosta 'Minuteman' is a striking perennial, valued for its bold, dark green leaves with crisp white margins that create a dramatic contrast. Its broad, slightly textured foliage forms a neat, rounded mound, bringing colour and structure to shaded borders and woodland-style planting schemes. Reaching approximately 50–60 cm in height with a spread of up to 90 cm, 'Minuteman' is ideal for adding long-lasting interest throughout the growing season.
In mid to late summer, tall stems rise above the foliage bearing elegant pale lavender flowers, which attract bees and other pollinators. Hosta 'Minuteman' thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers full to partial shade, where its distinctive variegated foliage develops its best colour. Easy to grow and low maintenance, this reliable variety is perfect for borders, containers and shaded gardens, providing season-long texture and contrast.
