Hosta 'August Moon' is a striking perennial with large, heart-shaped leaves that emerge a vibrant golden-yellow and mature to a soft, buttery shade. This shade-loving beauty thrives in woodland gardens, shaded borders, or as an underplanting for taller perennials, creating a glowing, luminous effect even in low-light conditions.
Growing to a moderate size of about 45–60 cm in height, 'August Moon' features elegant, arching leaves that add texture and structure to the garden. In late summer, it produces tall spikes of lavender flowers that attract pollinators, offering a lovely contrast to its golden foliage. This low-maintenance plant is ideal for shady spots, requiring moist, well-drained soil. Perfect for adding a splash of warm colour to shaded garden areas.

This plant is a herbaceous perennial. Herbaceous perennials die back below ground level each autumn, then fresh new growth will appear in the spring.
