Geranium hybrida Brookside is a graceful, long flowering perennial with clear violet blue blooms that appear from early summer and continue well into autumn. The flowers sit above finely cut green foliage that forms a soft, spreading mound, adding gentle movement and colour to borders. It works beautifully in cottage gardens, naturalistic planting and mixed borders, weaving between other plants without becoming invasive. Brookside is known for its reliability, strong flowering performance and ability to brighten sunny or lightly shaded areas.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
