Gaillardia 'Spintop Red' is a compact and vibrant perennial, featuring rich, deep red daisy-like flowers with golden-yellow centres. Blooming prolifically from early summer through autumn, its bold, long-lasting flowers are held on sturdy stems above neat green foliage. This sun-loving variety thrives in well-drained soil and is both drought-tolerant and heat-resistant, making it perfect for borders, rock gardens, or containers. Deadhead plants spent blooms regularly to encourage new blooms. In late summer, cut back old flower stems to 10-15cm. In spring apply a layer of mulch to the base of the plant.
This plant is a herbaceous perennial. Herbaceous perennials die back below ground level each autumn, then fresh new growth will appear in the spring.
