Coreopsis grandiflora Solanna Bright Touch is a cheerful, long flowering perennial that produces masses of bright yellow blooms with warm orange centres. The daisy like flowers appear from early summer well into autumn, bringing steady colour and attracting bees and other pollinators. This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
