Rudbeckia Goldsturm is a classic late summer perennial known for its bright golden yellow petals and bold, dark central cones. Flowering from midsummer into autumn, it brings warm, cheerful colour to borders just as many plants begin to fade. The sturdy stems and long lasting blooms make it ideal for cottage gardens, prairie style planting and wildlife friendly borders, where it attracts bees and butterflies throughout the season. Goldsturm forms a reliable, upright clump that returns year after year with a strong display.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
