Geranium hybrida Dusky Crug is a striking perennial grown for its rich, dusky foliage and soft lavender pink flowers that appear from late spring into summer. The deeply coloured leaves create a warm contrast in borders, while the airy blooms sit above on slender stems, adding gentle movement. It is perfect for naturalistic planting, cottage gardens and mixed borders where you want foliage interest as well as seasonal colour. Dusky Crug forms a neat, spreading mound that weaves nicely between other plants without becoming intrusive.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
