Salvia nemorosa Sensation Deep Rose is a compact, long flowering perennial with vibrant deep rose pink flower spikes that appear from early summer into autumn. The colourful blooms rise above a neat mound of aromatic green foliage, bringing height, texture and lively colour to sunny borders. Its tidy, compact habit makes it ideal for smaller gardens, pots, path edges and naturalistic planting schemes. Sensation Deep Rose is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators and pairs beautifully with grasses, geraniums and light, airy summer perennials.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
