Anemone x hybrida Queen Charlotte is a graceful late flowering perennial with soft shell pink blooms that appear from late summer into autumn. The semi double flowers sit on tall, airy stems above a neat mound of divided green foliage, bringing gentle movement and fresh colour to borders just as many summer plants begin to fade. It is ideal for naturalistic planting, cottage style borders and lightly shaded areas, and is well known for drawing in pollinators during the later part of the season. Queen Charlotte returns reliably each year and adds height, elegance and long lasting seasonal interest.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
