Achillea Terracotta is a soft, naturalistic perennial with warm yellow to burnt orange flower clusters that soften in tone as they age. The flat flower heads sit above feathery green foliage, bringing gentle height and a meadow like feel to borders. It works well in cottage style planting, prairie inspired schemes and wildlife friendly gardens, and is well known for attracting bees and butterflies through summer. Terracotta forms a steady, reliable clump that returns each year and blends easily with grasses and other airy perennials.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
