Achillea millefolium Appleblossom is a soft, airy perennial that brings gentle pastel pink flower heads through summer. The flat, clustered blooms sit above fern like foliage and work well in naturalistic borders, cottage gardens and wildlife friendly spaces. It is long flowering, reliably hardy and attracts bees and butterflies throughout the season. The plant forms a neat clump that spreads steadily over time, giving a light, meadow style feel to the garden.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
