1/4 Standard Hibiscus ‘Speciosus’ is a fresh and elegant flowering tree, producing large, soft pink blooms with a deep red centre that really stand out against its green foliage. Flowering from mid to late summer, it adds a light, uplifting feel to the garden just when many earlier plants are fading. Its neat lollipop shape makes it perfect for adding height and structure to patios, entrances or smaller spaces.

When does Hibiscus ‘Speciosus’ flower
It flowers from mid to late summer, often continuing into early autumn, providing a long-lasting display of colour.
Can it be grown in a pot
Yes, it is well suited to containers. Make sure the pot has good drainage and keep it well watered during warm weather.
Does it need pruning
Yes, prune in early spring to maintain its shape and encourage strong new growth, which will produce the flowers.
Will it come back every year
Yes, it is fully hardy and will return each spring. It can be slow to leaf out, so don’t worry if it looks late compared to other plants.
This standard Hibiscus works beautifully as a focal point in a patio container or placed either side of a doorway. Underplant with Geranium Rozanne for long-lasting colour at the base, or soften the look with ornamental grasses for a more natural, airy feel. It also pairs well with late summer perennials like Salvia and Verbena, helping to create a layered display that peaks later in the season.
Plant in a sunny, sheltered position for the best flowering results. Use a free-draining, fertile compost in pots and water regularly during dry spells, especially in its first year. Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser to support healthy growth and abundant blooms. Prune annually to keep the head full, rounded and packed with flowering stems.
Amazing Service
How online retail should be done.
Genuinely the best service I’ve ever received from an online retailer. I ordered three of the ‘plant your own’ bay tree pot kits. They came really fast, and were packaged so well.
It’s all recyclable too!!

Received our plants in quick time, excellently packaged and in very good condition. These are large plants, not small, ready to make an impression in our garden. I can't say how pleased I am, with this and my former order, to see that the company are consistent with supplying plants of excellence.
