1/4 Standard Hibiscus ‘Duc de Brabant’ is a bold and striking flowering tree, producing rich, double blooms in deep rose-pink with a subtle red eye. Flowering from mid to late summer, it brings vibrant colour just when the garden needs it most. Its neat lollipop shape makes it perfect for adding height and structure to patios, entrances or smaller garden spaces.
Quick Facts
This is a deciduous plant, so it will lose its leaves in autumn and regrow fresh foliage each spring.
When does Hibiscus ‘Duc de Brabant’ flower
It flowers from mid to late summer, often continuing into early autumn, giving you a long-lasting burst of colour.
Can it be grown in a pot
Yes, it is very well suited to containers. Just make sure it has good drainage and is watered regularly during warm weather.
Does it need pruning
Yes, prune in early spring to maintain its shape and encourage strong new growth, which will produce the flowers.
Will it come back every year
Yes, it is fully hardy and will return each spring. It is often one of the last plants to leaf out, so give it time.
This standard Hibiscus makes a strong focal point in a patio container or planted either side of a doorway for symmetry. Underplant with Geranium Rozanne for a long season of colour at the base, or combine with ornamental grasses to soften the look and create a more natural, flowing feel. It also works beautifully with late summer perennials like Salvia and Verbena to build a layered display that peaks later in the season.
Plant in a sunny, sheltered position to get the best from its flowering. Use a free-draining, fertile compost in containers and keep well watered during dry spells, especially in its first year. Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser to support healthy growth and abundant blooms. Prune annually to keep the head full, rounded and packed with flowering stems.
Amazing Service
How online retail should be done.
Genuinely the best service I’ve ever received from an online retailer. I ordered three of the ‘plant your own’ bay tree pot kits. They came really fast, and were packaged so well.
It’s all recyclable too!!

Thank you One Click
Received our plants in quick time, excellently packaged and in very good condition. These are large plants, not small, ready to make an impression in our garden. I can't say how pleased I am, with this and my former order, to see that the company are consistent with supplying plants of excellence.
