This plant is available on a pre order basis and will be dispatched in the month shown in the product title. If your order contains both in stock plants and pre order plants, your order may be held until all items are available and ready to ship. If you would prefer items to be sent separately, we recommend placing separate orders.
Dispatch dates are estimates and may occasionally change slightly depending on growing conditions and plant readiness. Plants will always be sent when they are strong enough to travel and establish well.
Veronica spicata Ulster Blue Dwarf is a compact, neat perennial with slender spires of soft blue flowers that bloom from early to midsummer. The upright flower spikes rise above tidy green foliage, bringing structure, colour and a fresh, natural feel to borders. Its small size makes it ideal for the front of borders, pots, rockeries and mixed perennial planting. Ulster Blue Dwarf is reliably long flowering, attractive to bees and blends beautifully with grasses, salvias and other airy summer perennials.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
