Polemonium Heaven Scent is a graceful perennial with finely divided, bronze tinted foliage in spring that gradually turns green as the season progresses. In early summer it produces airy clusters of soft blue, lightly scented flowers held above the foliage on slender stems. This combination of delicate blooms and attractive leaves gives borders a calm, naturalistic feel. Heaven Scent is ideal for cottage gardens, woodland edges and mixed borders, where it adds gentle height and attracts bees and pollinators.

This plant is supplied as a young perennial plug around 3 to 5 cm in size. These smaller plants grow on quickly once potted and usually take around eight to twelve weeks to reach the size of a typical 9 cm pot. When your young plant arrives, unpack it straight away and water gently if the compost feels dry. Pot the plug into a small pot using fresh compost and keep the compost lightly moist while the roots establish. Once the plant has grown on and the risk of frost has passed, it can be planted into the garden where it will develop into a healthy, long lasting perennial.
