More

Box is a slow growing plant which makes it low maintenance. If planted in containers, it is recommended that you refresh the compost every 3 years. You can trim your box plants to maintain a very compact shape, we recommend you do this in June and September - do not trim if there is a risk of frost. The foliage can burn in strong full sun. Do not allow the soil to dry out. Apply a top dressing of balanced, slow release fertilizer in spring, ensure this does not touch the leaves.

Buxus sempervirens can suffer from Box Blight and Box tree caterpillar damage
