Ilex crenata ‘Jenny’ is a compact, evergreen shrub that offers year-round interest with its small, dark green, glossy leaves and dense, neat growth habit. Often used as a low hedge or edging plant, it resembles boxwood in appearance, but it is more drought-tolerant and hardier. In late spring, ‘Jenny’ produces tiny white flowers, which are followed by small black berries in the autumn, adding seasonal interest. This variety is perfect for formal gardens, borders, or topiary, where its tidy, dense form can be easily shaped and maintained.
