Ideal for a wide range of gardens, from small patios to larger countryside gardens, a hanging basket will fit in just about anywhere and provides you creative freedom to produce a display that will add colour, vibrancy and variety to your outdoor space.

This summer we have selected several of our favourite flowers for adding to your hanging baskets, that will not only thrive in this space but will look incredible in a hanging display.

Petunia

Petunias are some of the most popular flowers found in hanging baskets. Brining a wild array of colours and a mixture of wonderful patterns to the display, they make for the perfect addition to your containers. Plus they are incredibly easy to maintain and will bloom beautifully in the summer months, enjoying the full sun and a good quality compost.

Geranium

The hardy Geranium is a strong contender for your hanging baskets and is a reliable option for blooms all summer long.  With a wide range of colours from pinks, whites and purples to choose from, they are a versatile option for any display. Geraniums prefer full sun but can handle some shade too. Making them an incredibly versatile choice for your hanging baskets, no matter where you choose to place them.

Fuchsias

Fuchsias, another gardener's favourite flower for hanging baskets, with their elegant and eye-catching blooms. They do manage well in both full sun or partial shade, making them a versatile option for your outdoor space. They also make great companion plants, so don't be afraid to mix them with other flowers in your hanging basket.

All flowering in the summer months, these flowers look their best in the midst of the summer months and thrive well in these warmer climates.
