Helleborus niger ‘Christmas Carol’ brings welcome colour to the garden through winter, often flowering around Christmas when little else is in bloom. It produces large, crisp white flowers with soft yellow centres above neat, dark green evergreen foliage, creating a clean, elegant look during the colder months.
Compact and reliable, it’s perfect for pots, borders, or the front of shady beds. It prefers moist but well-drained soil and will brighten up any spot with its long-lasting blooms. For a natural winter display, plant alongside ferns and ornamental grasses, which provide soft texture and year-round greenery.
