Camellia japonica ‘Dahlonega’ is a striking evergreen shrub producing beautiful creamy-yellow flowers that stand out wonderfully against its glossy, deep green foliage. The large, formal double blooms have layers of neatly arranged petals, bringing an unusual and elegant splash of colour to the garden in spring. Its evergreen leaves provide year-round structure and interest long after flowering has finished.
Best grown in a sheltered position in partial shade, ‘Dahlonega’ prefers acidic, moist but well-drained soil. It makes an excellent addition to borders and woodland-style planting and can also be grown in a large container filled with ericaceous compost where garden soil is unsuitable.
