Achillea, also known as Yarrow, is perfect for sunny borders, cottage gardens or wildlife-friendly planting schemes. Its feathery, aromatic foliage adds lovely texture, while the long-lasting blooms attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

Achilleas do not like wet soil, especially during the winter months. Plant Achilleas in well drained soil, add grit to your soil prior to planting. In the summer months, use bamboo canes to stake the tall flower stems. Do not cut down this perennial until late winter as they look particularly attractive during the autumn months.
