Coreopsis ‘Illico’ is a compact, early-flowering variety that delivers a burst of golden-yellow colour from early summer right through to autumn. Its neat, bushy habit and masses of cheerful blooms make it perfect for brightening the front of borders or adding warmth to pots and containers.
It’s easy to grow, thrives in full sun, and flowers for months with very little care. For a long-lasting and balanced planting scheme, combine it with Salvia ‘Caradonna’ for depth, Echinacea ‘Magnus’ for structure and contrast, and Nepeta ‘Walker’s Low’ to soften the edges and attract pollinators.

This plant is a herbaceous perennial. Herbaceous perennials die back below ground level each autumn, then fresh new growth will appear in the spring. Cut this plant back after flowering. To help protect the roots from frost it is advised to add a thick layer of mulch. Cut back faded flowers in autumn
